The temporary exhibition "Dialogue in the Dark" is an one hour lasting course through the total darkness, which is accessible for children at the age of 7 and older as well as adults visiting the exhibition individually or in a groupe. Discover and encounter situations from the daily life which will suddenly seem absolutely odd to you.
"Dialogue in the dark" is above all to enter into dialogue with yourself. In order to adapt yourself to the new situation you will rediscover all your natural senses since you will not be able to use your eyes during the full length of the course.
"Dialogue in the Dark" additionaly offers the opportunity to talk to other people since seven participants belong to one groupe. The experience to share the new unknown situation helps to drop all barriers and to offer your help when needed.
"Dialogue in the Dark" stands last but not least for the dialogue between you and the blind or visually impaired guide. His presence during the course makes you feel secured and encourages you to find the right way through the different worlds in the darkness. Everybody is free to ask questions without any sentiment of fear or prejuidice what enhances the relation between the visitors and the guide and therfore gives the opportunity to sensitize children as well as adults to visually impaired people.
The temporary exhibition is already opend since 22nd April 2008 and contributes to the Vaisseau's dedication to make it accessible for all people and to sensitize to handicapped people.
